So our school is growing and we’ve had months of good, solid attendance. Some of you are nearing readiness for competition and may be wondering how to go about getting your feet wet. Unfortunately, there are some not-so-legit entitiies out there hosting tournaments that are NOT worth the time and money. I thought a little help and direction would be appreciated, so…

In December there are two tournaments that I believe are worth the effort and both could be great for first timers AND seasoned competitors.

Great job to our Team Brasa Austin/Bastrop competitors for a stellar performance in the Austin NAGA 2014 Tournament. Out of our 9 competitors we brought home 7 medals: 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze, including Coach Alex Henley’s 1st place win for the belt!

Such a great day of rolling, eating and meeting new people. Special thanks go to Cinnamon Henley, Genevieve Henley & Jan Riley for helping to prepare for the day and keeping it running. Also, thanks goes to Mario Esfiha for being such a great instructor & Eric Fried for his help getting the place roll-ready. It meant so much that my teammates came out to support the new school too.
